Dear Cycling Community, Racers, and Spectators:

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the cancellation of this Saturday’s Niwot Wheel House Criterium.
Due to safety concerns regarding town traffic flow, local business impacts, and course access within the event enclosure, and complete business support we must cancel.

Please know that our team at Sanitas Sports did everything in our power to resolve these logistical challenges and prevent this cancellation. However, without the town all on board, clear and approved plan to safely manage traffic entering and exiting the course area, we cannot move forward in good conscience or in compliance with county and  local authorities. The safety of our riders, volunteers, and the local community will always be our absolute top priority.

All registered participants will receive a refund for their entry fees.

While we are deeply disappointed by this outcome, our hope is to work closely with the town and local business owners with more lead time in the future to bring a safe, vibrant event to Niwot. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this news causes so close to race day, and we appreciate your grace, understanding, and continued support of local cycling.
